Chetna Yatra is very popular in Industry as thousands of Stakeholders are directly and indirectly involved in social campaigns. 14th Chetna Yatra is focusing on 'MOOD DESH KI JANTA KA - 2019, DIGITAL INDIA – GREEN & CLEAN INDIA' and also spread awareness to All DAS Licence Holders throughout the Country about ARPU, Piracy, Billing, GST, Digital Content, SMS, OTT, Broadband, VAS, IPTV, etc.. It also aims to fulfill the dreams of our respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "DIGITAL INDIA" and many other social campaigns through Cable T.V. operators of various cities of India.
Chetna Yatra was started in the year 2005, by our Group Chairman & Mentor, Dr. A.K. Rastogi, President of All India Aavishkar Dish Antenna Sangh, to unite and educate Cable TV operators from all parts of the country about the latest technology & for redressal of disputes through roundtable discussion sessions, workshops, seminars and lectures which are delivered and attended by the industry experts and captains of the policy makers etc. from the Broadcasting & CATV industry....
Chetna Yatra every year covers more than 400 cities & travels approx. 25,000 kilometers in around 50-60 days, covering every hook and corner of this country and reaching to the millions of Eye balls, MSOs, DAS licence holders & Cable Operators with a message like 'SWACHH BHARAT – DIGITAL BHARAT', 'Padhega India Badhega India' & 'Digital India' and many different social campaigns during the month of September & October every year.
The journey was started with a single step and slowly & steadily with the support of millions of Eye balls and the industry, it has become a nationwide campaign on different public interest issues like digitization, health, plantation, education & environment among the masses, village panchayats, school & college students, local shopkeepers, NGOs, corporate, MNC's, broadcasting & CATV industry comprising MSOs, DAS licence holders, Broadcasters, Cable operators, Hardware & Software companies and other stakeholders etc. We are having a vast network of Last Mile Operator's throughout the country.
The glorious 15th Chetna Yatra was flagged off by Hon'ble Minister of Jal Shakti, Govt. of India, Sh. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat from New Delhi and previous Chetna Yatra's were flagged off by different Dignitaries like former I&B Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar, Former Chief Minister of Delhi Lt. Smt. Sheela Dixit & Dr. Subhash Chandra, Chairman Zee & Essel Group etc.. For the first time under Shri Prakash Javadekar 's direction & support “Samvaad” was organized between the B&CS industry and Doordarshan officials in the entire India en-route the yatra. In the year 1992, a long journey was started by a philanthropist to give a new vision to our Broadcasting & CATV industry. This resulted in the discovery of a new dimension which resulted in giving shape to our industry. The efforts which have to be recognized & complemented are of none other than our own friend Dr. A.K. Rastogi who has dedicated his entire life and career for the benefit of our industry people.
His sincere and dedicated efforts worked as a catalyst tool in the formation of many media organizations, yatra's, discussion forums & social movements. One of them notably is All India Aavishkar Dish Antenna Sangh, an umbrella body of cable TV operator which has stood as a backbone for the industry, another is South Asia Electronic Media Association & Media Club of India. His vision for reaching the last mile of the industry has not only helped the lakhs of Cable TV operators but also benefited the consumers as a whole. Dr. A.K. Rastogi on a personal sight is a traveler, adventurist & writer. He has authored many publications on Media, CATV & Broadcasting indus-tries which are to his credit.
